Along with Devon School Library Service we have updated our fiction texts that teach list.  New texts have been added and they are highlighted in blue.  We have also added a new column with the heading Blueprint.  We will over time review all of the texts and if they have a clear blueprint will list it.  You will find the explanation of the blueprints in the document Seven Basic Stories in this folder. They are based on the ideas in Christopher Booker's epic The Seven Basic Plots: Why We Tell Stories

The non-fiction texts that teach list is now available.   This is a small list of non-fiction.  We can't match each of the units to the wide range of topics that schools cover so have gone for great texts but have listed some series which might have content related to the curriculum.  Like the fiction list, the non-fiction one explains what the text teaches.
